Dana White Says He’s Meeting With Conor McGregor In Two Weeks

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor hasn’t been seen in action since suffering a fourth round submission loss to UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

UFC President Dana White says he is scheduled to meet with McGregor in the next two weeks, but didn’t specify exactly what the meeting is for.

“I’m meeting with Conor in Miami in two weeks,” White said at the UFC seasonal press conference (via Dave Doyle & John Morgan of MMA Junkie).

McGregor recently finished serving a six month suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) for his role in the UFC 229 post-fight brawl.

The former two division champion has a host of outside the Octagon issues to deal with, such as the legalities surrounding the cellphone smashing in Florida, accusations of sexual assault and a bar room fight in Ireland. McGregor was also linked to a fight with Donald Cerrone a few months back, but negotiations apparently fell through because McGregor allegedly only wants to compete in main event fights.

Whenever McGregor does make a return to action, it will give him an opportunity to pick up a victory for the first time since UFC 205 in November of 2016.
