Dana White Says Jon Jones’ Future Is Up To Jon Jones

UFC President Dana White and UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones have been at odds in the last week over the alleged amount of money that Jones wanted for a bout against Francis Ngannou.

White doesn’t know what lies in Jones’ future, but the UFC President says that decision is all up to Jones himself.

“Jon Jones is one of the greatest to ever do it,” said White to The Canadian Press. “The decision he wants to make regarding his career is up to him. The reality is that he’s made enough money from fighting that he’s now in the position to retire and never work again in his life.”

Jones has been busy with some outside of the Octagon issues as of late, speaking out against the death of George Floyd and also helping rebuild the city of Albuquerque, New Mexico after the protests in that area.

The light heavyweight champion has hinted at relinquishing his light heavyweight title, but no official decision has been made at this time.
