The UFC opted to postpone three events due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the promotion is back in action on April 18 with UFC 249, which is going to be headlined by former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson facing Justin Gaethje.
While the upcoming UFC 249 card is being held at a top secret location, it is going to be that secret location that will be the home for the next two months worth of UFC events according to TMZ Sports.
Once that two months comes to an end, a private island, which UFC President Dana White told TMZ Sports the promotion is working on securing, is going to be the future home for all UFC events until the pandemic comes to an end.
Whether in the secret location or on the private island, MMA fans can expect to see weekly UFC events moving forward, starting with the aforementioned UFC 249 card and onwards from there.
White has also told TMZ Sports that everybody participating in the events, from the fighters to the staff and other personnel will all get tested by a medical team before being allowed in the venues.
UFC color commentator Joe Rogan also stated that he wouldn’t be calling the UFC 249 card, but White tells TMZ Sports that Rogan is going to be on the call at the event.
