Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is set to make his long-awaited return to the ring this fall.
Boxing Scene's Keith Idec was the first to report the news that Wilder is scheduled to take on Robert Helenius on October 15 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, although no official announcement has been made yet regarding the bout. Wilder is 42-2-1 overall as a pro and the 2008 Olympic bronze medalist will look to rebound from an eleventh-round KO loss to undefeated heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury in their trilogy last October. Helenius meanwhile is 31-3 as a pro and is riding a three-fight winning streak at the moment. He will look to build on a sixth-round TKO win over, Adam Kownacki, in their rematch also last October.
