Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima went face to face with future opponent Rory MacDonald during the Bellator 183 broadcast.
However, with his future opponent dressed like late Apple founder Steve Jobs, the champion thought he was being sold an iPad instead of promoting the upcoming title clash.
“I thought he was going to sell me an iPad,” Lima said to MMA Junkie.
There was no iPad being sold that night because the only thing being sold was the potential action packed fight the fans are going to see between the two in early 2018. (Editor's note: C'MON DAVID! C'MON)
Besides the thought of possibly being sold an iPad, the Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion didn’t want to be the first fighter to look away during the stare down.
“You know, nobody broke us apart,” he said. “So we just stood there. I didn’t want to be the guy who looked away first, but it didn’t matter. It’s fun. It’s real. It’s a good feeling to get that first staredown.”
Bellator MMA: Lima vs. MacDonald takes place on Saturday, January 20 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Douglas Lima and Rory MacDonald headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
