Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz were scheduled to fight late last year at UFC 230, but then Poirier pulled out of the bout due to a hip injury.
The fighter says that although he did pull out of UFC 230 with an injury, it was actually Diaz who pulled out first.
Poirier revealed this during a series of tweets on Twitter after responding to a comment:
He pulled out before my hip was injured. The fight wasn't happening. https://t.co/NJMt2EpbNc

A ready to return Poirier also revealed that he would be willing to fight anybody if the price is right:
I'm ready just waiting to see what the boss wants to do https://t.co/Q8ifmjO86Z

Yep!! Honestly I'd fight anyone if the price is right https://t.co/Aiju4fXFYT

I want a shot at gold. I'll do anything it takes to get it but I'm a prize fighter if the prize is right I'll fight anyone.

I've been in Florida for a few weeks working on my craft. Hopefully in the next week I get something booked
I have a lot of respect for Max. It would be a fun fight but I will never fight at 145lbs again. https://t.co/Zfhdhv5e55

It should be noted that neither Poirier or Diaz are booked for a fight at the moment, meaning the duo could still face off in the Octagon.
