This past weekend at UFC 269, Dustin Poirier took one of his most hurtful losses in his MMA career so far when he got submitted by Charles Oliveira in a fight for the UFC lightweight title.

Despite only just coming off the back of a cutting loss, Poirier seems ready to get back into the Octagon to fight straight away.

After Poirier's loss, Nate Diaz took to Twitter to call out Poirier for a fight in January.

Poirier then responded to Diaz by saying he'd fight him before the end of 2021, to which Diaz called his bluff.

Although it does seem pretty much impossible that a fight between Poirier and Diaz will happen this month, there could be a chance of it happening as early as January 2022.
