A featherweight division affair is the latest addition to the upcoming UFC 211 card as Enrique Barzola will be in action against Gabriel Benitez.
Barzola (12-3-1) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, defeating the duo of Horacio Gutierrez and Chris Avila, while suffering a lone defeat to Kyle Bochniak. Barzola was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Latin America 2, he defeated Horacio Gutierrez in the finals of the reality show. Barzola is also a longtime veteran of the Inka Fighting Championships, where he earned five of his twelve career victories at.
Benitez (19-5-0) has won three of four fights in UFC competition, with those wins coming over Humberto Brown, Clay Collard and Sam Sicilia, while suffering that lone loss to Andre Fili. Benitez also competed on the first season of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Latin America, losing to Leonardo Moralesin the semi-finals. Benitez fought UFC veteran Yaotzin Meza at a 2008 Noche De Gladiadores event, a fight that he lost by unanimous decision.
UFC 211 takes place on Saturday, May 13 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas with Stipe Miocic and Junior Dos Santos headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
