In 2021 fans of the UFC are going to have to reach a bit deeper into their pockets to watch the promotion's pay-per-view events which exclusively air on the ESPN+ streaming subscription service.
First reported by Variety, beginning on Jan. 8, 2021, ESPN will raise UFC pay-per-view prices from $64.99 to $69.99. In addition to the increase in PPV prices, ESPN has changed their annual subscription price for new subscribers, increasing from $49.99 to $59.99. The price to renew a subscription for existing subscribers will remain at $49.99.
When ESPN Plus first launched in April 2018, the UFC's PPV event prices were raised from $59.99 to $64.99.
ESPN+ will remain $5.99/month and the price of Disney’s triple-play bundle of Disney Plus, ESPN Plus and Hulu will stay at $12.99/month. However as of March 26, 2021, Disney Plus pricing will increase from $6.99 per month to $7.99 per month and the bundle will go up to $13.99 per month.
In May 2018, the UFC signed a five-year deal with ESPN for upwards of $150 million to air the promotion's events on the ESPN family of networks and to stream UFC PPV events exclusively on the ESPN Plus streaming service.
