EXCLUSIVE: Matt Riddle Says Dan Severn Was The Only One To Accept His Match

Matt Riddle thinks his match with Dan Severn might be a shoot.

On Wrestlemania weekend in Orlando, Florida, Riddle is appearing for Game Changer Wrestling, where he will be in a match with UFC legend Dan Severn. On this week's episode of Fightful Wrestling's "Brocast", Riddle went over the process of agreeing to the match with host Sean Ross Sapp. He says he was likely going to face a mixed-martial-artist with or without Severn.

"There was a couple other names on the list, I don't think I should list them but they were other MMA legends. They all turned it down, then Dan Severn was given the opportunity and he said yes, then he asked for my weight and stats. Dan's taking it pretty serious, it might be a pure shoot. It's gonna be a treat," said Riddle.

Severn has won over one hundred mixed-martial-arts fights in his career and has preformed as a professional wrestler since the 1990s. Riddle said the veteran looks better than ever in the professional wrestling ring.

"I saw him work at AIW, a very good promotion up in Ohio," said Riddle "I wanted to wrestle him then, I even said he looked better there than I thought he looked in past WWE days. I think he's good, he's good to go, I think we're gonna have a really solid match, " added Riddle.

During the rest of the podcast, Riddle would discuss his comments on Triple H and Kendall Jenner's NWO t-shirt.
