Alex Hernandez pulled off the rare feat of going from a virtual unknown straight into the top 15 in the UFC after his debut win. Now, he's headed for the EA UFC 3 video game.
When speaking to Fightful.com's James Lynch, Hernandez revealed that he recently went to Vancouver to EA Sports to do motion capturing among other things.
"The suits are so badass. It tracks all your movement and they have you run through your routines and it replicates all your mannerisms. I've never seen anything of that magnitude. I plan on making a pit stop in Vancouver after the fight to say 'whats up' to the (EA Sports guys)," said Hernandez.
Ahead of his fight with Olivier Aubin-Mercier, Hernandez said he's going to be added to the game, likely around the time of the fight.
"You bet your dick I'm in the game. Fuck that noise, I didn't go there and dress up as a ballerina to not be in the game. It's the damndest thing, I meant to ask them when the update was coming, and I got sidetracked from our conversation. I imagine it's coming soon, just before or after the fight. My training partners can't wait to knock me the fuck out," said Alex.
As far as the future, Hernandez said that following Aubin-Mercier, he wants to gain two wins over fighters between the 6-10 rankings, and then move up to the top five.
