Eddie Alvarez Pitched Sean Brady To Dana White: "I Rarely Call" Him

Eddie Alvarez is so confident in Sean Brady he personally told UFC President Dana White to hire him.

Brady improved to 13-0 and earned himself a Performance of the Night bonus after choking out Christian Aguilera at UFC Vegas 8. UFC commentary and fellow fighter Paul Felder is high on Brady and so is Alvarez. The former UFC lightweight champion and current ONE Championship contender praised Brady when speaking with Fightful.

"Sean is a big deal. I rarely make a call to Dana White. I have Dana's number but I rarely call and say, 'Hey, you really got to sign this guy because if you don't, you'll be missing out.' It was a year or two ago. Sean represents Philadelphia and he represents our city incredibly. He wants in, he puts the work in. He deserves everything he is getting but he is a hell of a problem. You guys will see it," Alvarez shared. "I could see in two years or less a belt around his waist. He is a problem for anyone in that division."

"They were coming to Philly," Alvarez recalls of the conversation with White. "I left the UFC. I was no longer with the UFC. I remember as I was a little bit sad that I couldn't fight in Philly, and I saw the card and I saw that no one from Philadelphia was on the card. No one. I think Gaethje and Barboza were headlining it. I thought this would be the worst thing in our city's history for a [UFC] event to finally get there after years of trying. It finally gets there and no one from Philadelphia is there to represent our city. I called him and said we have the perfect guy. It was a pretty quick conversation."

The guillotine choke Brady slept Aguilera with is nothing new to Alvarez: "He gets everyone with that. That is a testament to how strong he is. It's one arm and it's something he gets everyone in."
