Exclusive: Ion Cutelaba Used Bret Hart Entrance In UFC To Show He Was Better Than Hart

"The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be?" Ion Cutelaba is hoping to take that moniker from the legendary Bret "The Hitman" Hart.

Cutelaba defeated #15 Gadzhimurad Antigulov on Saturday in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at UFC on Fox, which just happens to be the hometown of the aforementioned Hart. To honor the wrestling legend, Cutelaba wore Hart's trademark sunglasses to the cage, while entering to his music.

Following the fight, Cutelaba spoke to Fightful.com's James Lynch about the decision to go with "The Hitman's" theme.

"I'm a big fan, and especially because I'm in Canada, I wanted to inspire everybody, and show everybody that I'm probably better than him, too," said Cutelaba via an interpreter.

The fighter was also hoping to be able to put on more of an entertaining show, but says that Antigulov wasn't a willing participant, even when the two got nose-to-nose in the cage. He's hoping that changes for his next fight.

Cutelaba has now won three of his last four UFC fights, quite possibly putting him in position to replace Antigulov in the UFC's top 15 light heavyweight rankings.
