Kristina Williams makes her sophomore appearance for Bellator MMA on March 2 and the fighter faces Emily Ducote on that night.
The undefeated Williams shocked the MMA world by defeating the previously undefeated Heather Hardy in her professional MMA debut. Something else that shocked Williams after the fight is the amount of time it has taken the promotion to get her back in action.
“Yeah I was kind of surprised I didn’t get a fight sooner, but I thought they would kind of make me wait to put me on in Oklahoma. I wasn’t sure,” Williams said in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Despite surprising everybody in her professional MMA debut, a confident Williams expects to get the job done against Ducote on March 2.
Williams is making sure that everything goes smoothly in her second Bellator MMA appearance, which includes making sure the weight cut is on point.
“Last time it was really easy. I’ve been putting on more muscle, so we’ll see how this one goes, but it shouldn’t be to hard. Its usually not a big deal,” said Williams.
Bellator 195 takes place on Friday, March 2 from the Winstar World Casino & Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Darrion Caldwell and Leandro Higo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
