Sean Pierson Talks Poopgate

MMA

A little over a week ago at UFC Fight Night: Oklahoma City, the MMA world was treated to female strawweight Justine Kish delivering a solid number two on the Octagon.

Sean Pierson, who has left no solid number two’s in the Octagon (that we know of), shares his thoughts on what has now been dubbed “poopgate.”

“The women’s fight, well we haven’t talked about poopgate,” says Pierson on The Holy Smokes MMA Podcast.

“I tried to avoid it,” says Showdown Joe.

“Well, I mean it happens right, but the funny thing is like I think this is good because it took away…the only thing that came away for me is that she’s (Justine Kish) tough as shit…no pun intended. Skill wise, she (Kish) wasn’t there, I don’t know what it takes to be 6 and 0 in that division, but she was not there. Was that her first UFC fight?,” says Pierson.

“I think she was 2-0 in the UFC,” says Showdown Joe.

“See, to me she just didn’t have the overall skill, she had the overall toughness, but her overall skill did not show in that fight at all. Felice Herrig out skilled her in every area of that game, other than toughness. I was like, if there girl just keeps in there, then her hands might…but Felice just out skilled her from start to finish,” says Pierson.

The Holy Smokes MMA Podcast takes place every Tuesday at 3pm EST. With Showdown Joe and Sean Ross Sapp as your hosts. While former UFC fighters Frank Trigg and Sean Pierson appear every week as well.
