Thor Skancke Plans To Become A Household Name; Doesn't Know The Bellator Welterweight Champion

Thor Skancke brought it in the cage and on the microphone at Bellator 214.

In the cage, Thor submitted Jesse Merritt in the first round of their welterweight fight with a north-south choke. The fight was Skancke's first for Bellator and the victory brought his record up to 11-8-1. Following the bout, Thor spoke to the media about what's next for him.

"I'd like Bellator to bring me back," said Thor. "I think this is a top flight organization. Coming out here, I felt like I was in a Van Halen concert. What's next, next, is a beer. What's next after that is hopefully they bring me back. Who's the 170-pound champion? That's right, none of you guys know. Thor Skancke becomes the 170-pound champion, everybody is gonna know about that shit. Thor Skancke is a household name as soon as you give me a couple of fights in here. I ain't playing."

Later in the interview, Thor discussed his name and how he was born to be a fighter.

"People wonder why I'm such a good fighter. My name is Thor Skancke (pronounced Skank-E). If you can't clown on my last name, you clown on my first. I had to put hands on people."
