Rick Glenn was supposed to be fighting Arnold Allen at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale, but Allen suffered an injury and was replaced by Kevin Aguilar.
The UFC star has fought nearly thirty times as a professional MMA fighter, but still finds ways to continue improving his skill set with each passing day.
“I’m always happy when I get the win, but honestly…I haven’t been happy with any of my performances in the UFC. I’m my worst critic, so if anyone says that my performances suck…they’re kind of right. I had a lot higher expectations of myself coming into the UFC, I wanna finish everyone. If I can finish my opponent in one punch, that’s the goal…but it always doesn’t work out that way. So I worked on my weaknesses and I’m just getting better everyday out here,” says Glenn in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.
Glenn has won three of five in the UFC, but has yet to get that finish that Glenn believes he needs to get.
A lot of fighters may find it hard to cut weight around Thanksgiving time, but that doesn’t seem to be much of an issue for Glenn.
“I’ve had so many fights right around Thanksgiving or a week after or real close to right after Thanksgiving, I just eat what I want and its whatever. My wife will make some healthy pies or something and I don’t feel so bad eating that,” says Glenn.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale takes place on Friday, November 30 from the Pearl Theatre At The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada with Kamaru Usman and Rafael Dos Anjos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
