Marvin Vettori is less than a month away from battling the undefeated Israel Adesanya at UFC On Fox 29.

Adesanya has a lot of hype behind him as he heads into UFC On Fox 29, but Vettori says hype doesn’t win fights.

“There is a lot of hype behind this kid, but hype don’t win fights. Its going to take him one round to understand that its not the fight that he was thinking about. His spirit will break minute after minute, after the first round…he won’t be the same guy. There are levels to this game and he’s not on my level, I truly believe that. He himself is getting carried away with the hype, its not there yet, he’s not there yet. People are going to try and take him down and wear themselves out trying to take him down, he can pressure everybody and try to beat them up. Its not like that man, its not like that. I’ll be on his face three (rounds) per five minutes, constant pressure…constant beating him up. I’m going to fight like a f*cking bouncer in front of him, pushing the sh*t out of the pace…just pushing,” Vettori said in an excludive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

While Adesanya has picked up all twelve of his professional MMA wins by KO/TKO, nobody has been able to hand Vettori a KO/TKO loss yet in his pro MMA career.

Vettori does plan on walking away victorious at UFC On Fox 29, but he doesn’t have a plan for the finish of the fight.

“Just me winning and I’ll try to finish the fight. I’m gonna be winning second after second, I wanna beat him and break him. I’m not putting it in my mind like ‘I’m gonna finish him by submission, I’m going to finish him by knockout.’ It can be both because once he’s going to be broke, once he’s gonna being out of cardio and Energy….I can finish him in any way that I want,” says Vettori.

UFC On Fox 29 takes place on Saturday, April 14 from the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona with Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
