The CES MMA Flyweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of CES MMA 61 as Blaine Shutt puts the gold on the line against Richie Santiago.
Shutt (8-4-0) is going to be making the first defense of his championship, which the fighter won by defeating Johnny Lopez by split decision at CES MMA 60. Shitt has previously challenged for the Cage Fury Fighting Championship Flyweight Title, losing to Sean Santella by unanimous decision. Shutt has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have ended by way of KO/TKO.
Santiago (8-2-0) has won eight of nine fights under the CES MMA banner, with notable victories coming over Chad Kelly, Billy Giovanella and Giorgi Kudukhashvili. Santiago also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 2, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Miles Johns. Santiago has competed a total of ten times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
