Francis Ngannou hasn’t been seen in the Octagon since suffering a unanimous decision loss to UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic at UFC 220.
Prior to the shot at the gold, one fighter that had been calling Ngannou out for a fight is Derrick Lewis.
The former title challenger is now ready for a bout with Lewis and he made those intentions known via Twitter:
Derrick has been talking some of his sh*t while I was off . Can someone please let him know that I'm here now, so if he really wants me, he should send his manager to deal with @ufc

Lewis got word of the challenge laid out by Ngannou and issued a response of his own through Instagram:
There is no word when the bout could go down, as neither the UFC or the fighters themselves have given a date for the potential encounter.
While Ngannou hasn’t been in the Octagon since the aforementioned loss to Stipe Miocic at UFC 220, fans haven’t seen Lewis in the Octagon with a victory over Marcin Tybura at UFC Fight Night Austin.
