Ryan Bader was victorious at UFC Fight Night 100 when he defeated Antonio Rogerio Nogueira by TKO in the third round. Now that the fight with Nogueira is in the books, Bader has become a free agent and besides wanting to possibly resign with the UFC, there's something else the light heavyweight wants -- big fights.
"I got the Lil’ Nog fight and now here we are," Bader said to MMA Fighting. "Look, I love the UFC and I love fighting in the UFC. Gotta make sense, though. I’ve been a top 5 for a while, and I want big fights. There’s a big fight coming up in December, so we’ll talk with them and see where we go from here."
One of the biggest fights Bader can get would be against whomever walks away the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion after UFC 206 this December, Bader may be sitting cage side at the event. Bader was close to getting a shot last year when he had words with current champion Daniel Cormier.
"Perhaps (he will be sitting cage side)," he said. "It would be fun."
Bader is expected to not only field offers from the UFC, but from Bellator MMA as well, which has been signing big name free agents all year, including Ben Henderson, Rory MacDonald, Chael Sonnen and a host of others.
