Former two division UFC champion Georges St. Pierre hasn’t set foot in the Octagon since defeating Michael Bisping to win the UFC Middleweight Title in the main event of UFC 217.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was last seen in action at UFC 223, where he defeated Al iaquinta by unanimous decision to capture the UFC Lightweight Title.

If it were up to GSP, a future bout would take place between himself and the current UFC Lightweight Champion.

“I want to do something that … at 155, I never did it before,” St. Pierre said on The Joe Rogan Experience MMA Show. “The title, or beating a certain guy that’s on the rise. It could be Khabib (Nurmagomedov), (or) if there’s another guy that is unbeatable.”

GSP has never competed at lightweight before in his professional MMA career, as the former champion has previously fought at welterweight and middleweight.

UFC President Dana White recently stated that the promotion was looking to put GSP at lightweight against Nate Diaz, but GSP declined the fight because he had nothing to gain from it.

Nurmagomedov has yet to respond to what GSP has stated, as the lightweight champion is out of action to celebrate Ramadan.
