Hector Lombard Disqualified After Controversial KO Of CB Dollaway At UFC 222

MMA

CB Dollaway left UFC 222 with his show and win money, but it's hard to call him a winner.

In a controversial scene, former Bellator Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard's winless streak extended to six when he cracked CB Dollaway after the bell. Lombard was subsequently disqualified and Dollaway had to be stretchered out of the cage side area after a nasty knockout. Dollaway could be seen on the stretcher still asking "what happened" several minutes after he was brought back to his feet.

It's worth noting that the referee did signal the end of the round, but the ref hadn't separated the two at the time of the finish. Fightful.com will discuss the issue with licensed official Showdown Joe Ferraro on Tuesday's Holy Smokes MMA Podcast.

Lombard does plan to appeal the finish, considering the aforementioned circumstances. As things stand, Lombard doesn't own an official UFC victory since March of 2014.
