Dana White announced that Ilia Topuria will vacate the Undisputed UFC Featherweight Title, and he has plans to move up to lightweight.

Diego Lopes will fight Alexander Volkanovski for the vacant title at UFC 314 in Miami on April 12. Volkanovski is a former champion, and he successfully defended the gold five times.

Topuria previously beat Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 in February 2024 to win the title. He successfully defended it against Max Holloway at UFC 308.
