Jairzinho Rozenstruik Calls Out Francis Ngannou At UFC Fight Night Washington DC, Ngannou Responds

Jairzinho Rozenstruik scored what was arguably the biggest win of his professional MMA career when the fighter defeated Alistair Overeem by fifth round knockout in the main event of UFC Fight Night Washington DC.

After the about, a victorious Rozenstruik would call out Francis Ngannou for a future heavyweight division clash.

“I want to be back in April and I really want to fight this big scary guy Francis Ngannou,” Rozenstruik said after the fight (via Danny Segura of MMA Junkie). “So if you hear this right now, I hope you accept this fight. Man, let’s give those people a great show.”

Ngannou, who hasn’t competed since scoring a first round TKO win over former UFC Heavyweight Champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC Fight Night Minneapolis, would issue the following response through Twitter:

 

With neither fighter booked for another bout at the moment, it is possible that we can see a Rozenstruik versus Ngannou contest some time in 2020.
