Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz Set For August

Jake Paul is set to take on former UFC star, Nate Diaz, in an eight-round boxing match on August 5 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Diaz was the first to confirm the news of the matchup via the following video trailer posted to his official YouTube account on Wednesday, with DAZN additionally announcing the booking themselves shortly thereafter with a tweet of their own. The bout is set to be contested at 185-pounds, with 10-ounce gloves, and will be a 50-50 collaborative promotion between Paul's, Most Valuable Promotions, and Diaz's, Real Fight Inc.

Paul is 6-1 as a professional boxer, since debuting back in January 2020, and is coming off a split-decision loss to, Tommy Fury, back in February. Diaz on the other hand, will be making his pro boxing debut, and last competed at UFC 279 this past September, where he defeated former interim UFC lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson, via a fourth-round submission win in his final fight for the promotion.
