Jon Jones returned to action after serving a fifteen month suspension issued by USADA to defeat Alexander Gustafsson in the main event of UFC 232, capturing the UFC Light Heavyweight Title in the process.
The newly minted champion would then call out longtime rival and current UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier for a potential third bout. The duo have competed twice before, with Jones winning at UFC 182 and a second Jones win at UFC 214 being overturned to a no contest due to a failed drug test.
If a third bout was going to take place between the two, it would appear that Jones would be the favorite according to the betting odds. Bovada, who recently released betting odds for the potential third fight, lists Jones as a -265 favorite and DC as a +205 underdog. It should be noted that those odds can change drastically if the fight does become official and will change until the bell sounds to start the first round of the potential third bout.
Jones has been the favorite in both of the previous bouts against Cormier as well, with the UFC 182 odds being -210 for Jones and +170 for Cormier according to Bovada, while it was -270 for Jones and +210 for Cormier at UFC 214 according to Las Vegas Sports Betting.
