“We are confirming AXS TV has advised LFA that it is cancelling its participation in the balance of LFA events scheduled for 2019,” AXS TV officials told MMA Junkie. “Anthem was founded on the acquisition of Fight Network in 2010, the world’s leading combat sports channel, and is committed to the legacy of combat sports on AXS TV.”

There has been a lot of MMA content on AXS TV over the years, including the LFA, Legacy FC, RFA, Sengoku, HD Net Fights, CES MMA and a host of others.

LFA President Ed Soares reveals that even though the LFA is off of AXS TV, it isn’t the end of the promotion.

“There’s irons in the fire already,” Soares said. “This is not the last of LFA. It’s the just the last event broadcast on AXS. In the very near future, we’re going to be telling the world what our next steps will be.”

While the MMA content is all but gone from AXS TV, professional wrestling programming like NJPW and WOW are expected to remain on the channel at this time.
