This month’s UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo card has taken another hit as Luan Chagas has been forced to withdraw from his fight against Niko Price due to a broken foot.
It was Chagas who announced his withdraw through Instagram:
Price is expected to remain on the card at this time as UFC officials are seeking a replacement for him to fight later this month.
Price (11-0-0) has already earned three wins under the UFC banner, those three wins came over Brandon Thatch, Alex Moreno and Alan Jouban. Price also spent a part of his career in the Fight Time MMA promotion, with six of his wins there coming by way of first round finish.
Chagas is the most recent fighter to pull out of the event, because Augusto Mendes had been pulled from the card as well due to an injury.
UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, October 28 from the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Lyoto Machida and Derek Brunson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
