Fightful reported several weeks back that Mark Hunt would be facing Alistair Overeem in a heavyweight division rematch at UFC 209 this March.
Hunt however, has issued an ultimatum to everybody who fights him from here on out, which is that if you fail a drug test, he will be suing you.
“Every fighter I fight, if he gets caught through the process then I’ll sue him personally,” Hunt said to Stuff. “If I don’t get help from the company, I’ll do it myself.”
The main reason that Hunt is threatening lawsuits is that when he fought former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar at UFC 200, he fought a man who failed two drug tests. Hunt believes the penalties that Lesnar faced weren’t stiff enough.
“I didn’t even think the (NSAC) penalty was harsh enough,” he said. “He got a $250,000 fine, but he made about $2 million bucks so how did it actually affect him? (Dopers should be struck from the records and taken everything off them. They don’t deserve to get a cent. This sport is already harsh enough as it is. When you add in steroid use it makes it even worse.”
UFC 209 takes place on Saturday, March 9 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time.
