Longtime UFC fighter Matt Brown is going to be taking on UFC Ultimate Fighter 1 champion Diego Sanchez at UFC Fight Night Norfolk next month.
When Brown makes the step into the Octagon to battle Sanchez, it is going to be the last time that he does so.
Brown took to both Instagram and Twitter to make the announcement:

During his long run in the UFC, the soon to be retiring fighter earned a 13-10 record in the promotion and he has been with the promotion for over nine years. Brown did earn some notable wins over Pete Sell, James Wilks, John Howard, Stephen Thompson, Mike Swick, Jordan Mein, Mike Pyle, Erick Silva and Tim Means.
Even though Brown announced that his retirement is imminent, the fighter did not explain why he has chosen to retire now.
UFC Fight Night Norfolk takes place on Saturday, Novemeber 11 from the Ten Constant Convocation Center in Norfolk, Virginia with Anthony Pettis and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
