Nate Diaz & Jorge Masvidal Both Want A Rematch After UFC 244

Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal collided in the main event of the UFC 244, which ended in controversy after a doctor stopped the fight at the conclusion of the third round, awarding Masvidal a third round TKO win.

Diaz, who was on the losing end at UFC 244, would like another opportunity against the victorious Masvidal.

“If you’re the baddest (expletive), you’re going to take that win?” Diaz said at the post-fight press conference (via Nolan King & Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie). “It’s just like Conor (McGregor), when I fought Conor. It was a win; fair game. But I wasn’t finished. He knows I wasn’t finished. I was ready to rock. That’s my plan. That’s my next move. I would love to run it back. That’s the only thing I want to do. That’s my full intentions now.”

Masvidal knocked only walked away with a victory on Saturday Night, but he also left the Octagon as the BMF Champion.

Despite being victorious at UFC 244, one thing Masvidal would like is a second shot against Diaz.

“Are we going to rematch tomorrow or next week? I don’t know. But it will happen at some point. I’m open to the money and he’s a money fight. If Canelo (Alvarez) wants to get his ass kicked I’ll take that fight. I’m just here to get the biggest checks possible. But Nate is in the future for a fact. If we’re doing it the next year or the year after that, but it’s going to happen,” Masvidal said after the event (via Mike Bohn & Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie).

UFC President Dana White, who was in attendance at the event, didn’t seem to intent on putting a rematch together between Diaz and Masvidal at this time.
