Nate Diaz Officially Enters Free Agency

Former UFC title challenger and beloved star, Nate Diaz has officially entered free agency.

Journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to report the news via a series of tweets on Tuesday, after confirming it with Diaz's representative Zach Rosenfield, who provided the following statement on the 37-year-old Stockton, California native's fighting future.

"This does not shut the door on Diaz continuing to stay in the UFC. With the pending return of Conor McGregor, that fight still remains extremely appealing to both fans, the promotion, as well as Diaz and McGregor. But what is now clear is that the long-awaited Nathan Diaz free agent sweepstakes have officially begun."

Helwani additionally reported that the UFC had an exclusive three-month negotiation period with Diaz that was set to expire on December 9 and that Diaz is looking to fight two or three times in 2023.
