Chandler is already calling for a rematch and it doesn’t look like the former champion will get one of Pitbull has his way.
“He was sleeping,” Freire told MMA Junkie. “He kissed the floor, so I’m good with that. … I won the fight. You saw that. He watched the video (replay) after the fight, and he saw he lost.”
One thing the former lightweight champion claimed was that the referee for the bout stopped it too early.
Pitbull may be looking to compete outside of MMA and in professional boxing, as he would like an opportunity to battle Canelo Alvarez.
“I think I can do well with him,” Freire said. “I watched his last fight, and I believe I can fight him. Now I have two belts. He has a lot of belts, too, and it’s going to be a good match.”
There has been no word given by Alvarez at this time as to whether or not he would accept a bout with Pitbull, but if it does come together, it would mark the pro boxing debut for the two division Bellator champion.
