The victory and the ranking don’t seem to impress UFC Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo, who would rather face former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo, who is winless at bantamweight, instead of Yan.
Yan, seemingly angered by the fact that Cejudo would rather face Aldo over him, has taken to Twitter to accuse Cejudo of ducking him:
Don’t let him fool you, it doesn’t matter who @HenryCejudo fights he is not selling 1 million PPV’s. He is not a draw, there is no ‘money’ fights for him. If he want to make money he just need to be part of Khabib vs. Ferguson card or another big card, that’s it pic.twitter.com/rmxALDMU5m

“I think it’s pretty obvious he is ducking me and doing everything he can to avoid fighting me. All this talk about him wanting a bigger name is (expletive), he just wants easier fight for himself.”
Cejudo is still recovering from a shoulder surgery performed in 2019, so whether Aldo or Yan is next for him is inconsequential at the moment until the champion fully recovers.
