Raquel Pennington Self Reports USADA Anti-Doping Policy Violation, Suspended For Six Months

Raquel Pennington has revealed she has accepted a six-month suspension from USADA and will now be without a fight until May 2021.

"Rocky" had taken to Twitter and revealed that she was prescribed  7-keto-DHEA and AOD-9064 by a doctor to help treat an undisclosed medical condition. Shortly after taking the medication, she learned that they were prohibited substances and immediately came forward about her use to USADA. Pennington was given a more lenient ban based on her co-operation and self-declaration of the substance.

Pennington is ranked no.4 in the UFC bantamweight division and most recently defeated Marion Reneau in June after a loss to Holly Holm. Based on the suspension, she won't be able to fight until May, meaning she will have gone a year without competing in her quest for UFC gold.
