Report: 13 Fighters No Longer A Part Of The Bellator MMA Roster

MMA

It would seem like the Bellator MMA roster has undergone some trimming, because Jason Floyd of The MMA Report is reporting that the promotion no longer has thirteen fighters under contract.

While Floyd is reporting that the fighters are no longer under the roster, it is unknown if they were cut of if they weren’t re-signed after the deals expired. Floyd does say in the comments section of his Twitter post that the fighters contracts all expired, but Kendall Grove did announce over a week ago that he was cut by the promotion.

Floyd provided the list of fighters through Twitter:

Here is a look at just who the fighters are that aren’t with the promotion anymore:

LC Davis (23-8-0) won three of five during his time in Bellator MMA, but leaves the promotion on a two bout losing streak.

Steve Garcia (7-2-0) won four of six during his time on the promotion, with four of those six fights ending by way of decision.

Steve Kozola (8-2-0) has won three of five in the organization, but it has been almost a year since he won a bout in Bellator MMA.

Kendall Grove (23-18-0-1NC) announced his release from the promotion over a week ago, but also exits the company on a three fight losing streak.

Georgi Karakhanyan (27-8-1) had won four of eight in his most recent run with the promotion and is a former WSOF Featherweight Champion.

Fernando Gonzalez (27-15-0) has spent the last three-plus years in the promotion, earning a record 7-2-0 during his time there.

Kevin Casey (9-6-2-2NC) went winless during his two fight run in the promotion and he hasn’t earned a victory in almost three years.

Francisco France (13-5-1) won just one of three in his time there, but exits the promotion on a two bout losing streak.

Mike Rhodes (10-5-0) fought just once in the promotion, suffering a first round submission loss to Rafael Lovato Jr at Bellator 181.

Francis Carmont (25-12-0) won three of five in Bellator MMA and was a finalist (as an alternate) in the one night light heavyweight tournament at Bellator MMA Dynamite 1.

Philipe Lins (10-3-0) earned three wins in six appearances with the promotion and none of the six bouts went past the second round.

Ben Reiter (17-2-1) won three of five in his Bellator MMA tenure, with four of those five encounters going to a decision.

Alexis Dufresne (6-3-0) pulled a huge upset by submitting Marloes Coenen at Bellator 155, but missed weight for all of her bouts in the organization.

Since all of the fighters are reportedly no longer with the promotion, it would leave them all free to fight and negotiate with whatever organization of their choosing.
