A new threat is reportedly making his way to the Bellator MMA Welterweight Division as the promotion has signed Jason Jackson to a contract. There is no word at this time as to the length of the contract or any financial numbers associated with the deal.
It was Jackson who revealed the signing via Instagram:
Jackson (10-3-0) is the current Legacy Fighting Alliance Welterweight Champion, defeating Hemerson De Souza by split decision at LFA 71 to claim the gold. Jackson also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 3, suffering a second round TKO loss to Kyle Stewart. Jackson also participated on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 21, going 1-1-0 on the series as a representative of the Blackzilians. Jackson has fought once before under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Jordan Larson by first round TKO at Bellator 204.
There is no word yet on when Jackson is going to be making his Bellator MMA return or whom that bout is going to come against.
