Report: Cain Velasquez Allegedly Shot At Man Who Molested Relative

The details surrounding the recent arrest of former UFC heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez, on an attempted murder charge are starting to come out and it appears Velasquez went after a man who has been accused of molesting one of his relatives.

The Mercury News' Robert Salonga has reported that Velasquez shot at a car of three individuals on Monday afternoon, and was specifically targeting 43-year old, Henry Eugene Goularte, the man accused of sexually abusing Velasquez's relative. Goularte lives in San Marin, California at a home-daycare business run by his mother, and was arraigned last Friday on one felony charge of a "lewd and lascivious act with a child under the age of 14." He was granted a supervised release from a judge, despite objections from the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. According to a tweet from NBC Bay Area's Damian Trujillo, the alleged abuse happened to Velasquez's relative "100 times."

Three days later, Velasquez allegedly opened fire at the car carrying Goularte and two other individuals, one of whom was Goularte's stepfather who was hit during the incident and is expected to survive. Velasquez is currently being held in Santa Clara County Jail without bail and is scheduled for arraignment at noon local time.
