Conor McGregor has landed himself back in hot water with another sexual assault allegation.
According to an article from The New York Times, the former UFC champion has been accused by a woman in her 20s of sexually assaulting her in a vehicle that was parked outside of a pub in Dublin, Ireland. The alleged incident took place last week, but McGregor has yet to be charged with anything.
The news comes as McGregor is already dealing with a prior alleged incident in which he supposedly sexually assaulted a woman in Dublin last December. Although McGregor was arrested and questioned by law enforcement in January, he was then released pending further investigation. McGregor also has another case pending from an incident earlier this year where he allegedly assaulted an elderly man.
A publicist for McGregor has denied any wrongdoings that he has been accused of:
“Conor McGregor is frequently the subject of rumors. He emphatically denies any report accusing him of sexual assault.”
In regards to this new allegation, the Garda, Ireland’s police service, declined to comment on details surrounding the person accused of assault.
“Investigations ongoing and no arrests at this time. Owing to the nature of the investigation, we will not be commenting further at this time,” a Garda statement said.
McGregor hasn’t fought much in the octagon in the past couple of years, suffering a loss to UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in his most recent outing. Since then, McGregor has not had a fight announced.
