A heavyweight division rematch is going to be headlining UFC Fight Night Beijing according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #3 Curtis Blaydes faces #4 Francis Ngannou.
Blaydes (10-1-0-1NC) enters the contest on the strength of a four fight winning streak, last defeating Alistair Overeem by third round TKO at UFC 225. Blaydes is going to be headlining his first UFC card and the heavyweight has been with the promotion for over two years. Blaydes has picked up a total of ten wins as a professional MMA fighter, but the ranked fighter has yet to earn a victory by way of submission.
Ngannou (11-3-0) won the first meeting between himself and Blaydes, with that win coming by second round TKO via doctor stoppage at UFC Fight Night 86. Ngannou enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, with those losses coming to Derrick Lewis and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. Ngannou has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Beijing takes place on Saturday, November 24 from a location to be announced in Beijing, China with Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
