Dan Hardy has been reportedly fired by the UFC and BT Sport over an alleged incident on Fight Island that he has denied as the cause of his departure.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of his newsletter that Hardy was allegedly involved in an incident with a female employee on Fight Island. According to Meltzer, Hardy has been fired by both the UFC and BT Sport. No details were given as to who the employee is or what the incident alleged.

Hardy has taken to Twitter to confirm the news but took issue with the headline from BJPenn.com that alleged the female incident was the primary reason for his departure. Hardy claims to just not be working "directly with the UFC." The timing is strange as in February, Hardy had been calling for a fight with Matt Brown and submitted a request to fight him.
Rather misleading headline there, @bjpenndotcom. Not entirely accurate either.

I am no longer working directly with the UFC. The ‘female’ part is irrelevant. It was a disagreement over an opportunity missed, or withheld, and I’d love some answers but can’t get any. https://t.co/OWN3huP8Pe
