Dana White is reportedly trying to book Colby Covington vs. Leon Edwards for the UFC Fight Night on March 13.
The card was originally scheduled to be headlined by Edwards vs. Khamzat Chimaev; however, Chimaev pulled out due to lingering effects from COVID-19. White told media ahead of UFC 258 that he is working on replacing Chimaev with Covington, per TSN's Aaron Bronsteter.

Edwards has not fought since a unanimous decision win over Rafael dos Anjos in July 2019. It appeared for a time that he and UFC matchmakers had completely different ideas of what the no. 3 ranked welterweight is entitled to. White told media that he wanted to reward Edwards for taking the Chimaev fight and is actively seeking to book Edwards against a higher-ranked opponent.
