Report: Darion Abbey Replaces Ahmed Samir Hefny At Bellator 215

Ahmed Samir Hefney has suffered an injury and has been pulled from Bellator 215, replacing him against Steve Mowry, according to MMA Junkie, is Darion Abbey.

Mowry (5-0-0) has already competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Ben Moa by first round submission at Bellator 205. Mowry also fought four times in the Titan Fighting Championship promotion, with two victories coming by KO/TKO and two coming by way of submission. Mowry has competed five times as a professional MMA fighter and none of his bouts have gone to the judges scorecards.

Abbey (0-0-0) is going to be making both his professional MMA and Bellator MMA debut in this encounter. Abbey won three of four fights during his time as an amateur MMA fighter, wiuth two bouts coming in the True Revelation MMA promotion. Abbey seen just one of his four amateur MMA bouts go the distance and that came against Jacob Youngbear at True Revelation MMA 32 in May of 2017.

Bellator 215 takes place on Friday, February 15 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
