A featherweight division attraction is apparently headlining Bellator 204 according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as Bellator Bantamweight Champion Darrion Caldwell faces Noad Lahat.
Caldwell (12-1-0) is going to be making his featherweight division debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a three bout winning streak. Caldwell won the Bellator MMA Bantamweight Title by defeating Eduardo Dantas by unanimous decision at Bellator 184. Caldwell has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Joe Taimanglo at Bellator 159.
Lahat (12-3-0) has won three of four in Bellator MMA, with those wins coming over the trio of Scott Cleve, Lloyd Carter and Jeremiah Labiano. Lahat also won two of four during his time in the UFC, having defeated the duo of Steven Siler and Nicklas Backstrom. Lahat will also headline his second straight Bellator MMA card, as the fighter had previously fought in the main event of Bellator 188.
The co-main event has also been announced for the card as Logan Storley faces AJ Matthews in a welterweight division attraction.
Bellator 204 card takes places on Friday, August 17 from the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with Darrion Caldwell and Noad Lahat headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
