A heavyweight division attraction will headline a recently announced UFC card on August 8 as #4 Derrick Lewis faces #11 Aleksei Oleinik.

Lewis (23-7-0-1NC) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Blagoy Ivanov and Ilir Latifi. Lewis has previously headlined five UFC events, picking up a record of 2-3-0 in the main event encounters. Lewis has picked up twenty three wins as a professional MMA fighter and eighteen of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Oleinik (59-13-1) also comes into the bout on a two fight winning streak, with his wins coming over Maurice Greene and Fabricio Werdum. Oleinik has headlined a pair of UFC cards in the past, earning a 1-1-0 record in UFC main event appearances. Oleinik has earned fifty nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and forty six of them came via submission.
UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs. Oleinik takes place on Saturday, August 8 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Derrick Lewis and Aleksei Oleinik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
