A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC On Fox 30 according to MMA Brasil at Devin Powell is in action against Alvaro Herrera.
Powell (8-3-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped bouts to the duo of Drakkar Klose and Darrell Horcher. Powell hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming against Jonathan Lemke in August of 2016. Powell also competed once in the World Series Of Fighting, defeating Tom Marcellino by split decision at the WSOF 31.
Herrera (9-5-0) has won just one of three fights under the UFC banner, with that lone victory coming over Vernon Ramos at UFC Fight Night 78. Herrera also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter Latin America 2, losing in the opening round to Hector Aldana. Herrera hasn’t picked up a win in over three years and that last victory came over the aforementioned Vernon Ramos in November of 2015.
UFC On Fox 30 takes place on Saturday, July 28 from the Scotiabank Center in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which is going to be airing live on Fox.
