Donald Cerrone vs. Diego Sanchez targeted for UFC event in May
UFC cornerstones, MMA legends, and former teammates Donald Cerrone and Diego Sanchez have verbally agreed to a welterweight matchup on May 8, first reported by MMAFighting's Steven Marrocco and Damon Martin. Sanchez also seemed to confirm the bout himself via his Twitter, sending a shout to Conor McGregor in the process. The fight will take place at an unannounced UFC event and the promotion is yet to officially confirm a location or venue for the card.
Sanchez who is the only member left from the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter still competing inside the Octagon hinted at his next fight being his last and the UFC has given him a fitting send-off opponent in Cerrone. The two fighters who have a combined 42 UFC wins are both coming off losses, with Cerrone losing in just 40 seconds to Conor McGregor back at UFC 246 and Sanchez dropping a unanimous decision to Jake Matthews at UFC 253.

Cub Swanson vs. Gavin Tucker in the works for May 1st
A fantastic featherweight matchup between Cub Swanson and Gavin Tucker is in the works for a yet to be announced UFC event on May 1st. MMA DNA was the first to report the fight between the surging featherweight sluggers, although the promotion is yet to officially confirm the bout.
Swanson has won back-to-back fights, recently knocking out Daniel Pineda in the second round at UFC 256. Tucker will be looking for his fourth consecutive victory against Swanson, defeating Billy Quarantillo on that same UFC 256 card.

Sam Hughes in for Hannah Cifers, faces Emily Whitmire at UFC Vegas 20
UFC strawweight Sam Hughes will fill in for Hannah Cifers, who has withdrawn from her bout with Emily Whitmire at UFC Vegas 20 on February 27 for undisclosed reasons first reported by MMAFighting's Mike Heck and Steven Marrocco.
Whitmire will try to avoid a three-fight skid, after losing her last two fights to Amanda Ribas and Polyana Viana by submission. Hughes is looking for her first victory inside the Octagon, dropping her promotional debut to Tecia Torres after her corner stopped the fight at UFC 256.
T.J. Laramie set to take on Damon Jackson at May 1st UFC event
Featherweights T.J. Laramie and Damon Jackson are set to meet at yet to be announced UFC event on May 1st, the bout was first reported by MMA handicapper MMA Lock of the Night. Laramie will look to rebound from a 52-second submission loss to Derrick Minner at UFC Vegas 11. Jackson also will try to bounce back from a first-round loss, getting knocked out in his most recent outing by Ilia Topuria at UFC Vegas 16.
