Next months UFC Fight Night Boston card has taken a hit because a report from MMA Junkie is stating that Eric Spicely has been pulled from the event for undisclosed reasons, as he was set to face Brendan Allen on the show.
There is no word at this time as to why Spicely was pulled from the card or how long the fighter is going to be out of action for. Allen is expected to remain on the card at this time, as UFC officials are seeking a replacement for him to fight.
Allen (12-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Allen competed in Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 4, defeating Aaron Jeffrey by first round submission. Allen has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all three of those defeats came to current UFC fighters.
UFC Fight Night Boston takes place on Friday, October 18 from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts with Dominick Reyes and Chris Weidman headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
