A light heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira as Ion Cutelaba is in action against Ovince St. Preux.
MMA Fighting first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
St. Preux (24-13-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Tyson Pedro and Michal Oleksiejczuk. St. Preux has previously fought for the UFC Interim Light Heavyweight Title, losing to Jon Jones by unanimous decision at UFC 197. St. Preux has suffered thirteen losses as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of submission.
Cutelaba (15-5-0-1NC) is coming off of a loss to Magomed Ankalaev at UFC Fight Night Norfolk, it was his second loss in three fights. Cutelaba is going to be competing on a pay-per-view card for the first time in his UFC tenure, which has lasted almost four years. Cutelaba has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and twelve of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira takes place on Saturday, April 25 from a secret location with Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
